Data Points Available to Display

Jeff Partlow 7 years ago updated by OSV Support 7 years ago 1

Include all data points available to display in the Screener section to the Compare Competitors section. For example, I have currently added 'Tax Rate, TTM' and 'Current Fiscal Year, Prior Actual EPS' in my display of a couple of my custom screeners. But these data points are not available for adding in the Compare Competitors section.

Lock the order of listed companies when switching categories

Jeff Partlow 7 years ago updated by OSV Support 6 years ago 6

For both Stock Database and Screener category headings (Basic, OSV Ratings, Valuations, etc.), lock the current company order list when first accessing a different category. This makes it much easier to view the various metrics in different categories for the same company (or companies) at or near the top of the list.

Sorting Values From High to Low (and Low to High)

Love being able to sort on any column in both the Stock Database and the the Screener. That is a terrific, useful feature.

Discount Rate

Jeff Partlow 7 years ago updated by OSV Support 7 years ago 3

The assumed discount rate is always 9% for every company in the DCF Valuation. This results in substantial valuation estimate distortions for many companies. You do provide a sensitivity analysis table for alternative %s which is somewhat helpful. I know it wouldn't be easy to develop the necessary calculations, but are there plans in the near future to develop discount rate calculation that is specific to each company (or at least to each company's sub-industry group)? Thank you for your consideration.

Hello, I am looking at your short ratio and it appears to be off by 2 orders of magnitude. AKA representing the ratio as a percent

Solvency Numbers Calculation Errors

Jeff Partlow 7 years ago updated 7 years ago 5

Am now looking at AMCX which has Mkt Cap of $3.9B and Total Debt of $2.7B. Three debt-related %s under Solvency tab are currently showing 2894.18%, 2443.19%, and 450.99%. By the way, I'm looking at these numbers in the Solvency tab in the Stocks Database section. I haven't yet looked at the historical Solvency numbers in the Dive into Data section.

Shift Decimal Point?

Jeff Partlow 7 years ago updated by OSV Support 7 years ago 4

This is petty, but I added 'Revenue Growth (Year/est), Next Year' with an 'Edit' to 'Estimates' column header tab. For first stock (Agilent ticker 'A') in database the value shows as 480.00%. Decimal should be shifted two to the left -- i.e. 4.80% instead?

Also, hopefully I'm interpreting this statistic correctly since it is worded in a confusing way. Would it be accurate (and with better clarity) to say: 'Revenue Growth Next FY vs. TY Est'?

Every day I have to reset the default filters in screener, is there a way to keep them there permanently?

float short in Key Stats tab seems to broken

Ra'uf Glasgow 7 years ago updated by OSV Support 7 years ago 1

Previously this stat seemed to be working, but today as I was running stats on a number of companies, Float short showed 0% for all companies. Morningstar had other stats for some of these companies.
